What's this server about? Isn't it just an anime server?

### What does the Clover role mean?

Clover is simply the role for new users. We try to be very welcoming, so making them stand out is very helpful!
This role has a few restrictions from channels or permissions. This keeps new users from being overwhelmed, or helps prevent people raiding the server.

### Why does Clover keep getting removed?

Clover is reset so that new users are greeted, welcomed, and helped.
It gives new users incentive to converse, test the waters, and see if they like what the server offers.
If you apply Clover, it shows you have interest in the server and shows the rest of the users that you agree to follow the rules.
 
You only keep the Clover role for 3 days. In that time, if you're active in chat for about ~7-10 minutes, you will gain the Member role and keep access.
It takes almost no effort to advance from the Clover role, any user who wants to be a part of our server should have no troubles.

What's the Clover role? Why do I keep losing Clover?

### Why is the Clover role reset?

The Clover role keeps track of new users, resetting it gives incentive for new users to converse.
Clover is removed from users who have it for over 30 days.

### How did I lose access to the server? What is a reset?

If you were higher than Clover role, you are given the Key role after a reset.
Key only grants access for that month, it provides a buffer for you to obtain Member role again.
Details can be found with `!roles`
 
### Why does the server reset monthly?

- Resetting each month means everyone is brought back down to level 0. 
People won't spam messages just to get exp because it's meaningless.
The leaderboard is there to track activity but it would be unfair for new users if long-term users were always at the top. 
Resetting allows new users to "compete" so they don't feel outcasted.

- The system was introduced in the server to allow people to have a variety of colored roles. 
Having colors based on activity is a fair way to implement the idea.
Each month community members can create their own palettes and the server gets a new paint job.

- To prevent lurkers around the server, resetting allows us to remove roles from people in a fair way. 
People who aren't active in the server won't have access to the channels. 
There are other technical reasons why this is nice, such as no accidental @ pings.

## Groovy Bot Commands

- **-play (-p)** - Play music from a supported source or search for a track.
- **-queue** - Displays the current queue.
- **-song** - Display the currently playing song.
- **-next** - Skip the current song. Do not abuse.
- **-shuffle** - Toggle shuffle mode for current queue.

`Clover` - The starter role for the server that grants restricted access to the channels.

__Level-up Rewarded Roles__
Information on EXP and levels can be found with `!exp`
All Danbo given EXP and rewarded roles are reset monthly.

`Member` - Given at level 2, it removes Clover restrictions and grants access to the standard channels.
- For reading the FAQ, you may self-assign Member to shortcut through the Clover role.
- Every few levels you will be given a new colored role, up to level 25.

`👑` - This role is given to the #1 user in last month's leaderboard. 

`🔑` - After a reset, any user above level 1 is given the Key role which grants access to the server.
- You are given the rest of the month to reach level 1 again to keep access for the next month.
- This role is removed after achieving level 1.

__Self-assignable Roles__

`No-EXP` - This removes you from the EXP system. This role is reset if you're inactive.

`Limited` - Restricts your access to the server, but this role does not reset.

`Events` - This role is pinged for server events and announcements.

`Updated` - This role is pinged for server updates or discussion.

`Legacy` - Grants read-only access to old event channels. 

`Dedicated` - This role grants Events, Updated, & Legacy permissions.


`#` - A color role for users who prefer a previous rewarded color. You may not ask for the Clover color.

To apply a self-assignable role, use the #role-assign channel.

- #sfw-artwork - High-quality image channel for digitally drawn artworks.
- #audio-music - Audio/Video channel to share music or music videos. Supports Chuu bot.

- #giveaways-channel * Win a prize or give back to the community.
- #emoji-suggestions * Submit votes to approve or remove emojis.
- #tutoring-channel * Post a question you need help with or assist somebody else.

- Each minute you send a message Danbo awards 14-27 experience.
- Every month the experience and role rewards are reset.
- A rewarded role is required to access the server.
